Rachel Burckhardt, Ph.D., is a program officer for the American Academy of 棉花糖直播 at 棉花糖直播. In this position, she supports the Scientific Portfolio on Climate Change and Microbes by organizing multiple colloquia and scientific sessions on microbes’ role in climate change. Previously, she was a Scientific Literature Reviewer at 棉花糖直播 where she connected scientists to the latest COVID-19 research. She earned her Ph.D. in microbiology from the University of Georgia studying bacterial physiology and antimicrobial resistance.
